Lot 38: Van Cleef & Arpels, Jules Verne From The Earth To The Moon Poetic Complication
Wish Price: €100.000 to €150.000
Analysis: Wow, never saw that one coming. Not really my personal taste, but a beautiful piece nonetheless.
Over on the rear of the watch (through the sapphire exhibition window) is a more complete view into the skeletonization and decoration process. In my opinion it is very classy and tasteful and one of Tissot's top Sculpture Line pieces. It is even suitable as a daily wearer if you don't mind manually wound watches. One thing that isn't clear to me is how the crocodile strap fits to the case. In some images it has a more traditional straight end that sits between the lugs close to, but not touching the case. In other images, it uses a fitted strap that conforms to the shape of the case. I just don't know which one is actually used.
If you want to know more a bout the game itself, well there are probably tons of sites around where you can read more about it and see videos of game play. The game will however be available to play on XBOX 360, Playstation 3, and PC for your gaming pleasure. Unlike many (many) movie-base video games, 007 ones haven't all been so bad. Think of the classic one Goldeneye. Your best bet to succeed if playing the James Bond 007: Blood Stone game? Wear an Omega yourself while playing a character wearing an Omega.

No doubt the Frog and now Mr. Brown Frog are weird watches. MB&F founder Max Busser proclaims, "we will never do another chocolate titanium Frog after this." On the back of the watch is reminder that the watch is for the PuristS online community. The people there loves these pieces. And these people and their effect is something really important to think about, because online communities that create a lifestyle and a hobby around watches are what really help to drive the most interesting things in the industry. To a large degree, before the Internet, there was not much of a "fan" community around timepieces. While the PuristS is not the oldest online watch lover community, it is still considered mature and has a lot of loyal followers who make up an important part of the high-end watch buyer segment.
Inside the watch is a Swiss ETA Valjoux 7750 automatic chronograph movement with Oris' signature red rotor. The case is thick, but comfortable. It is water resistant to 500 meters and has an AR coated sapphire crystal. Diving features include an automatic helium escape valve on the side of the case and large pushers. Of course the case has a sizable diver's bezel that is in steel and ceramic. The black ceramic has cut numerals and markers that are are then filled with SuperLumiNova. The effect in the dark is quite cool. The dial is legible and all Oris DNA.
The Elite line also includes a line even more classic than the one above; the Ultra Thin collection. With 7.6mm thick cases and subseconds at 9 o'clock, the look is understated elegance. I like this model:
